Can I apply for R as a tourist?
Almost never as a first direct step. We first check whether a migrant or family category fits.
Is the R visa permanent forever?
It is resident status under the resolution and current law. You must still keep validity, use and follow-on IDs (cédula de extranjería, etc.).
